Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based?
We’re based at Here East in East London and whilst we love to meet people and chat about plywood unfortunately the showroom is currently closed for refurbishment.
Where are your products available / where do you ship?
We currently ship throughout the UK and across Europe.
Have things changed since the Brexit?
Following the UK's departure from the EU, we do not charge UK VAT (20%) on orders shipped to Europe. Prices include delivery and customs clearance costs, but not local import taxes. Our shipping partner will contact you directly to collect payment. For example, in France the import tax is also 20%, therefore little change.
Do you make fronts for the older Faktum base cabinets?
We’ve decided to concentrate only on the newer Metod system and don’t currently have any plans to produce fronts for the older Faktum system. Sorry 😕
Do you make fronts for the Pax wardrobe system?
Yes we also make fronts for both the Pax and Platsa storage systems.
Do you make fronts for other carcass suppliers?
No. We only make fronts for IKEA's Metod system of kitchen cabinets
Do you supply painted fronts?
No. We only supply fronts in natural wood faced plywood and Formica or Fenix faced plywood.
How durable are the wood faced doors and drawers?
We finish each item using a premium quality double matt lacquer. Our lacquer is Formaldehyde free, crack resistant and naturally filters UV light preventing any yellowing of the wood over time. The lacquer creates a water resistant protective barrier on the wood whilst retaining it’s beautiful natural appearance.
What can I use to clean my fronts?
We recommend simply wiping them with a damp cloth and some warm soapy water. Bleach and abrasive cleaners should be avoided.
Do you use laminate suppliers other than Formica and Fenix?
Yes, but it depends if our material supplier has access to them. It’s best to contact us to check if you have a specific laminate in mind.
What colour / material / layout should I choose?
Can't decide which of the 12 different Formica whites to choose or where the hob should go? Try reading this article in our help centre.
Can I change my order once it's placed?
We understand that design and construction changes often occur, sometimes even after an order is placed. We will accommodate any requests for revisions up to 6 weeks before your delivery date, and as long as they are minor changes (e.g. a handle or hinge position) it will be free of charge. If material usage and order value increases, we will invoice the difference. If you need to make changes that reduce the size of your order, it's not possible to make any partial refunds once we have ordered our materials.
After the 6 week period, any changes will also be subject to a flat £100 +VAT Change Request Fee which must be paid before production starts or continues on your fronts.
We always do our best to keep to original delivery dates but please be aware that late changes could also delay your order.
