Wood Faced Plywood Kitchen Doors
Our FSC-certified plywood kitchen fronts come in a choice of premium A-grade birch, maple, white oak or walnut. Wood is a natural material so we expect to see a variety of grain patterns, in our opinion that is part of the beauty of the material and it's why we work with real wood veneers.

Why choose wood faced plywood?
We manufacture our plywood kitchen doors and drawer fronts using a solid 18mm birch ply core faced with a surface veneer of either birch, maple, white oak or walnut. Our timber is FSC certified and we only use premium A-grade, hand selected to ensure the best possible quality.
Birch and maple veneers are rotary cut. In this process, the log is rotated while the veneer is shaved off in one continuous sheet, creating a broader grain pattern.

Walnut veneer is quarter-sawn, cut perpendicular to the growth rings of the log. This typically results in a straighter, more uniform grain.
White oak veneer is rift sawn, meaning it’s cut at a precise angle to the growth rings. This creates a straight grain with a tight, linear pattern - ideal for minimalist designs.
We hand finish our wood-faced fronts by sanding them smooth with ultra-fine grit sandpaper. After sanding, each item is treated with two layers of Saicos hard wax oil. The result is a durable, water-resistant finish that still feels natural to the touch.
