Laminate Faced Ply

Our kitchen fronts and worktops are available in an extensive range of contemporary laminate colours from Arpa Bloom and Formica.

Both Arpa Bloom and Formica are HPLs, or High-Pressure Laminates, which are made up of several layers of resin-impregnated paper that are compressed together under high pressure to create very dense, durable materials.

The HPL is bonded onto a birch plywood core sourced from an FSC-certified supplier. The birch ply edges of each item are then hand-finished in our East London workshop and a premium quality hard wax oil is applied.

Arpa Bloom is the most sustainable HPL on the market.

It features advanced technology which has been developed to include 50% lignin resin. Lignin is a natural polymer found in timber and a waste product from the paper industry. This Bloom technology reduces CO2 in manufacturing by up to 26%.

In addition, 100% of the electrical energy used in production comes from renewable resources. 18% of this from solar panels installed on the roof of its Arpa production site. Read more here.

Our fronts and worktops are available in the Arpa Bloom Kér finish which is available in a beautiful array of colours from neutrals through to richer tones.

Samples can be obtained directly from the Arpa website.

Formica is the original High-Pressure Laminate and is known for its incredible durability.

Our fronts and worktops are available in the Formica Matte58 finish which is available in a great number of contemporary colours.

If your preference is for white, then you may also wish to consider the Formica Fundamentals finish.

Formica Fundamentals provides a cost-effective alternative to Formica Matte58 with a nearly identical finish, available in white only.

Samples of the Matte58 finish can be obtained directly from the Formica website.
